Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice 5K Hibiscus Run!
On a glorious April morning, 100 runners in Vero Beach — The Hibiscus City –tested their speed and endurance in a 5K fundraiser for the Heritage Center. They were joined by a group of American soldiers in Iraq who participated through the Freedom Torch Program, a not-for-profit organization that arranges for soldiers serving overseas to participate in races here in the States.
Orchid Island Juice Company Supports Lakeland Area Nonprofits!
The Little Kayak That Could, a.k.a. The Paddler's Challenge, raised thousands of dollars for nonprofits recently in Central Florida. A citrus stronghold, area services have been severely impacted by economic decline and increased demand. Orchid Island Juice Company was honored to support such worthy causes as Special Olympics and Camp Aurora by providing juice for the 25 mile trek on the Kissimmee River and a kayak to the winner of the raffle.

Orchid Island Juice Company is committed to helping improve the lives of vulnerable sectors of society. Since 1988, The Treasure Coast Food Bank has distributed food through partner agencies to help alleviate hunger on Florida's east coast. About 3 million pounds of food is distributed annually in urban areas and transported to out of the way rural locations.
Orchid Island Juice Company Supports Little League Baseball!
The Natalie's Orchid Island Juice Company Angels, a Little League Baseball team in Vero Beach, presented company executives with a sponsorship plaque. Little League was chosen as a beneficiary because it teaches children valuable life skills, such as leadership, teamwork, focus, discipline, continual improvement and respect.
Orchid Island Juice Company Helps Youth in Need!
For the 16th year, Orchid Island Juice Company has been the lead sponsor of the King of the Hill tennis tournament on Florida’s Treasure Coast, a fundraiser for a mentoring organization that helps high-risk youth. Youth Guidance pairs children and adolescents from single parent homes with professionals in the community.

Every spring, the 4-H Club of Indian River County shows off members’ livestock at the Firefighters Fair. Christian Reynolds (R), who is 18, raised this 1100 lb. steer through the club. Two eighth graders from New Jersey earned Orchid Island Juice Company a red ribbon at a recent school science fair. The girls’ project explored vitamin C levels in various leading brands of orange juice. The result: Orchid Island Juice Company tasted better (which explains the empty bottle!) and had a higher nutritional content.

Helping those in need and getting healthy – two of Orchid Island Juice Company’s most enduring principles — motivated hundreds of runners to participate in The Source’s recent 5K run in Vero Beach. The Source provides food, counseling and services to a growing homeless population.
Grapefruit Pro-Am Golf Tournament
For 64 years, the Grapefruit Pro-Am Golf Tournament has ignited the competitive spirit and fostered comraderie as citrus professionals and golf experts play the course at the Vero Beach Country Club. The club was founded by Waldo Sexton, the great, great grandfather of company namesake Natalie Sexton.

Nearly 800 runners came to Riverside Park in Vero Beach early Thanksgiving morning to help support Harvest Food Outreach, a Treasure Coast food program for people in need.

Five thousand cyclists rode for a cure in the 2009 National MS Society Bikeathon in NYC. At last count, the event raised $2.4 million. Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company was stationed at the finish line to rehydrate and nourish these dedicated athletes and weekend warriors!

The National MS Society 5K was a resounding success with more than 200 runners, walkers and “dawdlers” participating in an effort to raise funds for MS research. Dr. McFadden and his wife, Kimberly, of Atlas Orthopedics contacted Orchid Island Juice Company to help sponsor the event.

This is the season to recognize the courageous battles fought by families across America touched by cancer. Relay for Life, a marathon event to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, took place at Vero Beach High School April 3 – 4.
