Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice 4-H Scholarship

OIJC recently partnered with 4-H Youth Development of St. Lucie County in awarding the “Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus Scholarship.” The recipient of the award, Michelle Tiffany, will spend a week this summer in Washington D.C., where she will meet fellow 4-H members from across the nation, strengthen her communication and leadership skills, gain a better understanding of civic and social responsibilities, and learn about our nation’s history.

Michelle is in the 9th grade at Lincoln Park Academy in Fort Pierce. Her favorite subject is science (she’s in Integrated Science Honors!), but she does best in English. When she isn’t studying, you can find Michelle with her horse or working with “Granny Pam’s Party Ponies”. Michelle began taking riding lessons when she was five years old, and has since grown into a talented English rider and jumper. She is interested in exchanging information this summer with other 4-H members about issues specific to horses in their geographical locations.

Michelle has several goals for her future, including attending the University of Florida, being a veterinarian, and riding and jumping in the Olympics!

Michelle has been involved in 4-H since she was 8 years old and is currently the president of her chapter. We at OIJC are honored to know a young woman of Michelle’s caliber and we wish her much success in all her endeavors.
