Our Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) safety system is a science-based system that identifies and integrates preventative controls in food production steps to prevent the possibility of the production of unwholesome product. HACCP is the Food and Drug Administration’s mandated food safety system.
Orchid Island Juice Company has a HACCP safety system in place to assure production of the cleanest, safest 100% Fresh Squeezed Juice possible. We are firmly committed to maintaining the industry’s highest sanitation standards ensuring that our juice is always as safe as it is delicious. As a result of our unyielding commitment to safety and sanitation, the United States Food and Drug Administration (in 1998) designated Orchid Island Juice Company as the pilot plant for FDA studies of the Fresh Squeezed Citrus Juice industry. The results of the studies performed by the FDA were the basis for CFR 120, the FDA Juice HACCP regulation.
The Food and Drug Administration, the United States Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture regularly monitor Orchid Island Juice Company. We welcome audits and inspections, as we believe it provides customers with the added confidence that Orchid Island Juice Company products are always 100% safe, wholesome and delicious, and made with the best 100% Fresh Squeezed Citrus Fruit Florida has to offer!
Orchid Island Juice Company is also proud to maintain an OU certification by the Orthodox Jewish Council. For over 80 years the Orthodox Union has maintained the highest standard of kosher supervision. Today the OU logo is a hallmark of quality, dedication and certifies more than 660,000 products making it the world’s most recognized and trusted kosher symbol. The OU symbol is the mark of trust for millions of consumers because of uncompromising standards, which symbolizes purity and quality. Our product and process have been reviewed and found to be far more than “just acceptable”.
